Can we please? Can we please just sit outside in the forest, a field or even the park while the leaves in the trees shake as the wind passes through them? While the birds chirp and the squirrels chase one other up, down, and around the trees? While the warm sun drifts subtly across the sky with the clouds? While you strum the guitar, read a book, or just sit by me. Talking or not, whatever you prefer. Can we not worry about money or how we'll make our future happen? And just be okay with the idea of bumps and troubles coming along the way, but we do our best and overcome them together? Can you say whatever thought that pops in your head, whether it be silly, sad, or even makes no sense at all? Can we lie down on the ground and just be happy to be in the moment? Can we enjoy the moment? As we lay there on the ground, hopefully with a thick blanket separating us from the dirt, can I reach for your hand?
